Creosote Modifier

Cre-Away is a four-phase powder that safely and effectively modifies glazed or third-degree creosote so that it can be more easily removed by chimney sweeping. The catalyst in Cre-Away turns creosote into a char that can be more easily removed. Cre-Away works best when the flue gases are heated to about 600°F (surface stove pipe temperature about 300°F). Apply Cre-Away directly to the flue (not into the fire) using the one-pound applicator bottle. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH WOOD STOVES HAVING CATALYTIC COMBUSTORS UNLESS PUT IN BYPASS MODE. If bypass mode is not available, use ACS Anti-Creo-Soot Liquid to treat creosote buildup. Apply during the heating season to modify glazed creosote, making it easier to remove. Apply Cre-Away after every cleaning to make stubborn deposits safer and to neutralize the acidity and odors from the creosote. Cre-Away Pro (25 lb bucket) constains 50% more magnesium than regular Cre-Away (sold in 1 lb applicator bottle).
